The Experian US Automotive Wellbeing Index captures consumer perception of their ability to pay their monthly automobile debt obligations, their desire to buy a new vehicle, and whether the Covid-19 pandemic is impacting their buying strategy. The index utilizes responses from a nationally representative sample of US consumers and is scored between 100 and -100, with:

  • 100 = Extremely Strong Automotive Wellbeing
  • 0 = Normal Automotive Wellbeing
  • -100 = Extremely Weak Automotive Wellbeing
